OPEN FOR ENROLLMENT ON OCTOBER 20, 2025
This course provides a comprehensive foundation in the care of older adults, focusing on current trends in the aging population and the normal developmental changes associated with aging. Learners will gain essential knowledge and practical skills to deliver person-centered, age-appropriate care that promotes healthy aging and addresses common geriatric syndromes. Through the lens of the 4Ms framework—What Matters, Medication, Mentation, and Mobility—participants will explore age-friendly health system principles and develop strategies to support the health, independence, and quality of life of older adults. Topics include age-related physiological and cognitive changes, sleep hygiene, deprescribing practices, mobility challenges, and health-promoting activities tailored to the needs of older adults. By the end of the course, learners will be equipped to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to aging individuals in a variety of settings.
